Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We and our partners use them for analytics, advertising, spam protection and to remember choices such as dismissing the cookie notice. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may work less well if you do.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics (through the Site Kit plugin) to measure visits. It receives information such as your IP address, pages viewed and device details. Google explains how it uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Advertising
We show, or may show, ads from Google AdSense and other ad networks. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s previous visits to this website and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also visit aboutads.info to opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising.
Spam protection
Comment and contact forms use a security question and hidden fields to block automated spam. If we enable Cloudflare Turnstile, Cloudflare receives technical data about your visit to decide whether you are a person, under its own privacy policy.
Other services
Comment avatars may be loaded from Gravatar (operated by Automattic), which receives a scrambled version of your email address. Images on this site may be delivered through the Jetpack image network operated by Automattic, which receives your IP address and browser details in order to serve the files. Articles may embed or link to third-party content, such as videos or social posts, which can set their own cookies.
Sharing your information
We share information only with service providers that help us run the site (hosting, analytics, advertising, email and spam protection), when the law requires it, or to protect the site and its users. These providers may process data in countries outside your own.
How long we keep it
Comments are kept until you ask us to remove them or the article is deleted. Contact messages are kept as long as needed to reply and for a reasonable period afterwards. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept according to each provider’s settings.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the GDPR, you may have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to correct or delete it, to withdraw consent, or to object to some processing. To use any of these rights, email admin@freemining.in. We will reply within a reasonable time.
Children
This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, please email us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, but no website or method of transmission is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
